Gov. Wolf visits Benn Franklin Center

More than 100 vendors selling products and services from the engagement to the honeymoon were represented at the two-day Pa. Bridal Expo, making it the largest bridal show in the Lehigh Valley.

PEEP Store marks grand re-opening


A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 1 attracts a long line of VI-Peeps dignitaries and Just Born personnel to the Peeps & Company retail store in the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. Just Born President David Yale and  joint Chief Executive Officers David Schaffer and Ross Born cut the ribbon. The Just Born retail store has been open since Nov. 12 when it relocated from a site at the Sands Casino Outlets Mall in South Bethlehem.

Coplay couple’s donation helps mounted patrol


Sue Sacks, who owns the pet sitting service Snug at Home with her husband Michael, hands a $1,050 donation to Bethlehem Police mounted patrolman Mike Leaser on his mount Grey at the Burnside Plantation. Sacks explained that the donation was comprised of contributions from her clients, whom she described as “the best clients in the world.” With Leaser are mounted patrolmen Jason Holschwander on Asa and John Buskirk on Pharaoh.

Becahi tops Bergen; falls to Blair


It may have only been a weekend dual-meet tournament, but Bethlehem Catholic’s performance at FLO Wrestling’s Who’s #1 Duals at the Palestra on Saturday will be a day the Golden Hawk faithful will always remember. The Hawks reached Saturday evening’s finals only to lose to national power Blair Academy 36-18, but that didn’t take anything away from the morning the Golden Hawks experienced following their 28-26 upset win over Bergen Catholic, the second ranked team in the country by Intermat’s rankings.
