Once upon a time in Fullerton
Peter and Charlie Dent spoke about their family’s manufacturing legacy at the National Museum of Industrial History 602 E. Second St., Dec. 14. They described how their great-grandfather, Henry H. Dent, and his business partners founded the Dent Hardware Company in 1894. The Fullerton-based business produced hardware for refrigerators and cold storage units in their brass and iron foundries, as well as other specialty items. Between 1898 and 1937, the company added cast iron toys to its product line. Hosted by the National Museum of Industrial History the exhibit continues through Jan. 12.

Peace Pilgrimage marks 60thyear
A tradition created over 60 years ago continued Dec. 14 as the Christmas Peace Pilgrimage made its way from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Over 90 pilgrims came out to spread the message of world peace as they walked nearly 10 miles from start to finish. Each year the walk starts at Nazareth Moravian Church and finishes at Christ United Church of Christ, taking approximately six hours to complete. Photo: Diane Buckly-Maidt and her husband, Dave Maidt, travel all the way from Maryland to participate in the peace walk each year. Diane has been walking since 1985, involving her husband 10 years later, and calling it their “Christmas tradition.”

Two Pates win holiday wrestling crowns
It was Bethlehem Holiday Wrestling Classic that Freedom won’t forget any time soon.
The Patriots came away with two champions from the area’s top holiday tournament and a top 10 team finish to give them a boost of confidence heading into 2020. Freshman CJ Horvath (106) and senior Luis Vargas (120) became the first Patriot wrestlers to take home gold medals since Rodney Sigley won the tournament in 2004. Head coach Dante Terenzio knew it was a long time since the last time the program had crowned champions, making the championship afternoon a milestone day for the program.
